Initially, the ending lacked the punch it needed to leave a lasting impact. So, I set out to make it more compelling. I carefully reviewed the footage, adjusting the pacing and refining transitions to build tension effectively. Collaboration was key. Working closely with the director and cinematographer, we shared ideas to ensure the final vision remained cohesive. Together, we found the perfect shot that captured the essence of the film. Close-ups shows really what the actor's reaction is and how they are feeling. A tilted shot adds dramatic tension to the scene. Camera Shots Long shots and over the shoulder shots are commonly used in Thrillers. Long shots in Thrillers are used to make something feel far away or unobtainable. The over the shoulder shot builds up tension and suspense. Camera Movements A commonly used camera movement in Thrillers is tracking. Tracking is used to make an actor look as if they are being watched or followed. Mis-En-Scene In a thriller the costumes are commonly casual. The lighting is usually dim and low. The action genre is a great choice for our film. The genre focuses on stories that involve high-stakes, high-energy, and fast-paced events . All camera shots are fast paced and there tends to be a lot of close-up shots to show the expression of the character. Establishing shots are also important as they show where the action is taking place. Tracking shots also common for chase scenes which makes them feel involved. B) In action the use of sound is very important, and the use of amplified diegetic sound make it more exciting. C) Action films tend to be in built suburban areas to allow for a better experience of rushing past buildings then going through the country. The use of an area that can give a sense of speed is the most common. Lighting is usually illuminating characters faces. Props are always used for weapons and tech devices.
