Genre Choice for Film

Image
We chose to do the documentary, we chose it because we felt it would capture the story, we want to tell the best. We originally chose action due to the high speeds and intense feelings felt during a track session. One thing we love about the action genre is that it allows for great creativity and imagination. We quickly found that this would not be able to capture the full story we wanted to tell. With a documentary, we can follow the story of the building and fixing of the car. We can dive deeper into what went wrong and how it can be avoided in the future. It allows us to use our imagination in unique and exciting ways, and it allows us to create a film that is both entertaining and has some real-world value. We also enjoy the challenge of filming action scenes. We considered the other genres we researched, such as --- or action, but for me, the documentary genre just feels like the right fit. Creating a sequence of events that is both exciting and real can be a real test of my pro

Genre Research – Action

Image
The action genre is a great choice for our film. The genre focuses on stories that involve high-stakes, high-energy, and fast-paced events .       All camera shots are fast paced and there tends to be a lot of close-up shots to show the expression of the character. Establishing shots are also important as they show where the action is taking place. Tracking shots also common for chase scenes which makes them feel involved. B)    In action the use of sound is very important, and the use of amplified diegetic sound make it more exciting. C)   Action films tend to be in built suburban areas to allow for a better experience of rushing past buildings then going through the country. The use of an area that can give a sense of speed is the most common. Lighting is usually illuminating characters faces. Props are always used for weapons and tech devices. D) The most common editing used in the action genre are cuts and jump cuts. They are used to keep the constant action going and add

Our Pitch

Image
Pitch A: A mechanic works to earn enough money to become a race car driver and joins the big race. Pitch B: A secret agent enters a Russian criminal's home and a battle ensues, resulting in high-stakes action. Pitch A: This pitch could work very well with the materials we have at hand. Logan works as a mechanic, so we can utilize his workplace as a set. Additionally, he races as a hobby so we can use this for filming as well. Overall, we have a lot at our disposal for this specific project. Additionally, the theme of this story interests our group. The idea of pure dedication and drive fueling a mechanic to move upwards in life is a sentiment we enjoy being put into film. The pure work the driver is putting in shows a central message that anything is possible, as long as you want it enough. This pitch has a good central theme and is realistic to film.  Pitch B: This specific pitch is also realistic, as the main setting is a residential home. So, one interior is much easier than the

The Gang is Back

For my group I chose people I know will work well together and have availability to do things out of school. Our group decided to stick together after making some class film's in AS level. Staying with the same group really helps us get through everything faster as we are all great friends now. We all worked very well and had no problems at all. This also allows for easy communication through the project making it easy to get everyone to do their part. We all also know each others strengths and weaknesses in the film making process so everyone already knows their job. The two group mates are still Logan and Griffin. Logan and I are still great friends and work great together. We meet during elementary school and became good friends beginning of freshman year. We became a lot better friends through our previous year in media studies and I cant wait to work with him again. He is very good with editing and brings a lot of leadership. He really leads our group and makes sure everything

What’s up my name is Ryan Wunsch attending Ft Lauderdale High and I’m currently a Senior. I am 17 years old and my birthday is April 8 and I was born 2006. One of my biggest interests right now is boating. I currently have a boating license and my family’s owns two boats so I have been able to practice. My current goal right now is to learn how to operate and take both out by myself so I can go out with friends. Another reason I’m so invested into learning how to drive is because water sports are also something I’m really into so I could go out a lot more if I learn and a friend does to .A few others things I like to do are snorkeling and lobstering which I also need the boat for. I also love sports I’m currently not on a team but going out and playing football or baseball with friends is super fun and also watching them is something I do a lot. During my free time I also like to go to the gym after school and also play video games with my friends.  This year I  started playing baseb
